Palencia 2015 Casa Amarilla Red (Yakima Valley)

Grenache (60%) takes the lead on this wine, followed by Syrah (30%) and Mourvèdre. Lighter in color with an orange tinge at the rim, the aromas suggest notes of raspberry, cranberry, rose hips and vanilla bean. There's a lovely sense of feel but the oak seems a bit intense. Sean P. Sullivan
