Panther Creek 2016 Schindler Vineyard Pinot Noir (Eola-Amity Hills)

Given its youth, it's not at all surprising that this wine is still pulling itself together. There are streams of tart citrus, wild berry, tobacco and earth, all flowing in the right direction but not yet coalesced into a seamless whole. Barrel aging for 17 months in half new French oak brings a touch of vanilla to the finish. Paul Gregutt
