This wine is light to the eye, with leather and distant dried-fruit aromas. The palate is thin and starched out, with some raspberry fruit barely helping out the tomato flavor that drives the palate. Even the name on this made-for-export wine, “Paul the Tuscan,” is weak. —M.S. Michael Schachner
