Paradise Springs 2018 The Roshi Red (California)

There's a lovely integration of purple flowers, fresh blackberry and black plum on the nose of this blend of 39% Petit Verdot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Franc. A touch of oaky wood spice shows on the palate, where just-right tannins frame rich fruit flavors that are lifted by star anise and licorice spices. Matt Kettmann
