Páramo de Guzmán 2000 Crianza (Ribera del Duero)

Looks good in the glass, and smells pretty nice despite a hint of barnyard. In addition, there's cola, vanilla and plum to consider. Fairly meaty in terms of feel, but not overly expressive and not quite reaching the upper echelon. Finishes with some gritty, hard-fighting tannins. Michael Schachner
