This dense wine opens with aromas of balsamic herbs, mint, thyme and black berries alongside subtle oak. The rich palate doles out concentrated black cherry, licorice, sweet vanilla, clove and toasted oak that doesn't overwhelm red fruit. It's still young, with youthfully aggressive, drying tannins and nervous acidity.
