Pashey 2016 Brut Rosé (Willamette Valley)

A pretty copper-rose hue, this blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay offers a mix of cherry, light citrus and lemon rind flavors, highlighted with gin-like botanicals. It's estate-grown and done in the méthode Champenoise style. Disgorged in mid-summer of 2019, the wine is still quite young, but already shows finesse and lingering details that portend further development in the bottle. Paul Gregutt
