Highly aromatic, with a whiff of funky barnyard, this is a sort of in-your-face wine with big flavors of mashed berries holding court in the midpalate. It's full-bodied and fruit-driven yet layered with touches of herb and earth and black tea. A complex wine to be sure, this should be decanted if you plan on drinking it anytime soon. Paul Gregutt
