Patton Valley 2012 West Block Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This block is singled out in order to present a wine that has received full western exposure throughout the growing season. That's reflected in the ripeness and fullness on the palate. It's a fruit-driven vintage, and this matches it perfectly with strawberry preserves, enhanced with streaks of cola, sassafras and coffee grounds. Mineral-drenched acids provide the perfect support. Paul Gregutt
