Patton Valley 2014 West Block Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This block is singled out in order to present a wine that has received full western exposure throughout the growing season. Using a basket press and native yeast fermentation, it's a well-defined effort with ripe cherry fruit and a streak of cola running down the spine. Medium bodied and full in the midpalate, it fades gently, though just a bit sooner than you'd like. Paul Gregutt
