Paul Blanck 2015 Furstentum Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

The zestiness on the nose is undeniable but subtle. There is a hint of stone and earth, too. With air, an aromatic edge of pear and apricot appears. The palate comes in with smooth generous fruit. Serene ripe notes of apple and pear are tempered by gentle, but distinct, lemon freshness. This has a fluid, generous and harmonious body and a just off-dry finish. The lemon notes linger long. Drink 2028–2030. Anne Krebiehl MW
