92pointsPaul Cluver 2016 Estate Chardonnay (Elgin)

Editors' Choice

A medium-intense nose of lightly toasted apple, orange rind, fresh yellow melon and a touch of sweet spice sets the stage for this beautiful Chard, with secondary hints of fresh straw and pressed yellow flower. The medium-weight palate shows great balance and cut, with bright acidity and precise citrus and green fig flavors that carry through to the evolving finish. It all ends with a delicate kiss of peach-pit nuttiness. Lauren Buzzeo
