Paul Mathew 2012 Horseshoe Bend Vineyard Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)

Wild berry and vanilla rise to the fore on this rose-petal-piqued vineyard-designate, the site planted by this producer. There's some girth on the midpalate, and depth of flavor, along with a supportive structure of oak and tannin, the entirety teased in complexity. It finishes juicy and refreshing in pomegranate, wild mushroom and spice. Virginie Boone
