92pointsPaul O'Brien 2014 La Dame Red (Southern Oregon)

This Right Bank-styled Bordeaux blend is principally Merlot, with 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec. Supple and complex, it features dark fruits and muscular, polished tannins. There are suggestions of dried straw, coffee grounds and smoke, and the tannins carry a sort of black tea astringency. Drink this with a choice cut of beef or lamb. Paul Gregutt
