Paul O'Brien 2018 G-S-M (Southern Oregon)

The blend favors Grenache (53%) with Syrah (34%) and Mourvèdre (13%) filling it out. This is a first for the winery, and a welcome venture into the Rhône-influenced styles that southern Oregon does so well. Bright and brambly berries and tart cherries come out with light touches of toasty oak (30% was new) and a streak of vanilla. It's a pleasing, forward wine, which may be enjoyed over the next three or four years. Paul Gregutt
