Paul O'Brien 2018 Pinot Noir (Umpqua Valley)

Sharply focused raspberry fruit with a citrus tang carries this wine. The fermentation in open-top concrete included 24% whole clusters, and the finished wine was aged for 14 months in 30% new French oak. There's a light whiff of silage, not unpleasant, as it fades out with drying tannins. Paul Gregutt
