Paul O'Brien 2018 Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This is given a bit of a twist, with one-quarter whole-cluster fermentation in concrete. The bright fruit shines through with sharp flavors of cranberry, raspberry and spicy plum. Vivid acidity adds lift and life, while the tannins bring in stem and green tea notes. One-quarter of the barrels for aging were new, and overall this young wine should develop and even improve over the rest of the decade. Paul Gregutt
