Paul O'Brien 2019 Pinot Noir (Umpqua Valley)

Editors' Choice

The aromas draw you until the glass, with thrilling notes of plum, dark raspberry, moist earth, mint and cedar, showing detail and complexity. The palate lives up to all of that promise and more, with flavors that show intensity, layering, juiciness and deftness. Fine-grained tannins back it up. It's outright delicious but offers a lot to think about, too. Sean P. Sullivan
