Peachy Canyon 1999 Para Siempre Red (Paso Robles)

This is the kind of fat, high-alcohol but plush and soft red wine that Paso is famous for. A Bordeaux blend, it's filled with juicy berry flavors and is round and supple, but heady, with 14.5% alcohol. Yet it's balanced, with nice dry tannins. —S.H.
