Peju 1999 Cabernet Franc (Napa Valley)

It's hard to make Cab Franc stand on its own in California, and this wine does not advance the cause. It's proper rather than special. Dry, wonderfully complex tannins, and adequate acids, but the fruit is thin. Especially at this price, you want hedonism or ageability, and the wine has neither.
