Peloton 2015 Criterium Red (Paso Robles)

Dark black cherry, hints of thyme and tarragon and a flash of crushed gravel show on the nose of this blend of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Cabernet Franc and 33% Merlot. Firm, upright and nearly sticky with tannins, the palate shows stewed plum and mulling-spice flavors. Needs a bit more time to reach its prime. Matt Kettmann
