After many years of calling Peñalolen a hidden gem, something is way off with this vintage. Raw oak aromas are chemical, while the wine's herbal blueberry scents are strange. A flabby flat mouthfeel and weedy oak-swollen flavors of mint, alfalfa and wood grain are sketchy. Tasted twice with similar results.
