Shy is not how to describe this wine's bold, plump, grapey bouquet, which features a good dose of bacon. The palate is flavorful and fruity, but it's also one-dimensional in that it's all fruit and no nuance or layering. The smooth finish has coffee and black fruit in full quantities. Michael Schachner
