Penley Estate 2003 Condor Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon (Coonawarra)

Features heady scents of dried fruit, anise and pepper, but this big wine never really spreads its wings. The mouthfeel isn't especially rich or layered, while the flavors lean heavily toward dried fruit compote with hints of honey and spice--sort of like Amarone lite. Drink now. Joe Czerwinski
