89pointsPeter Howland 2004 Pine Lodge Vineyard Shiraz (Mount Barker)

This wine shows an interesting blend of leathery, meaty, clove aromas with creamy raspberry, strawberry and blueberry fruit flavors. It's medium- to full-bodied, ending on a slightly metallic note. Although the tannins suggest further development, the wine's aromatic evolution may not be as predictable as its textural development; the safer bet is to drink now. Joe Czerwinski
