Peterson 1999 Floodgate Vineyard Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

There's nothing delicate about the massive flavor explosion, with mingled notes of raspberries, cherries and blackberries, with peppery, gingery spices. It's big, bold and brassy, but the tannins are light and silky, which makes it float on the palate despite the fruit.
