Pfeffingen 2016 Beerenauslese Scheurebe (Pfalz)

Editors' Choice

This is a delectably fruity, concentrated wine, full of candied orange peel, melon, peach and pineapple flavors. Sweet honey tones penetrate deeply, balanced by fresh lemon-lime acidity. Hints of green banana and a lacy, delicate coating of sugar linger long on the finish. Delicious now but structured enough to improve for decades. Anna Lee C. Iijima
