Phelps Creek 2018 Lynette Chardonnay (Columbia Gorge (OR))

Soft and buttery, this should have wide appeal to lovers of a certain popcorn-flavored style of Chardonnay. Once past the lush open, you'll find that there's a creamy texture and enough natural acidity to keep the flavors from falling flat. Green apple, pineapple, brioche and flaky pie crust components share the palate. Drink now and over the next three or four years. Paul Gregutt
