Phinch 2018 Chêne Vineyard Pinot Noir (Edna Valley)

Cellar Selection

Though still quite young, this is an impressive debut wine, starting with rich yet balanced aromas of black cherry, star anise, crushed rocks and light licorice. The sip hits with a sizzle of acidity and then opens toward mulberry, elderberry and other wild tree fruits, with hints of fennel bulb, all wrapped in leathery tannins. Drink now through 2033.
