This is classic Dry Creek Zinfandel, in the sense that it's dark in color, full-bodied, spicy, warm in alcohol and tannic, but especially considering the flavors. They're just as ripe as can be, with the blackberries and currants veering into stewed prunes. This heady wine is a fine companion for roasted and grilled meats and stews.
