Mulchy plum and berry aromas are not really fresh, and that's telling. A palate with creamy weight is cut by lively acidity, while this tastes of stewed plum, molasses and herbs. At moments, this Cabernet shows qualities; the rest of the time it's just another challenged Cab from a cold wet vintage. Michael Schachner
