Pichler-Krutzler 2019 Ried Pfaffenberg Riesling (Kremstal)

A lovely hint of potentilla crushed on sunwarmed stone plays on the nose before ripe lemon zest kicks in. The palate is concentrated and comes with pithy, textured depth from which a deep, lemony ripe juiciness springs. This is mouthwatering and pure, with a textural complexity that suggests that this will evolve and show more of its herbal side. The finish is dry and impressive. Drink now–2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
