Pierre Meurgey 2018 Aux Montagnes (Côte de Nuits-Villages)

A shy nose on this wine reveals oaky toastiness and ripe, red cherry that attains a floral overtone with more air. Showing exemplary freshness for such a warm year, the palate balances beween juicy fruit, firm tannin with a hint of mocha, and oak toastiness. The finish is appetizing and bold. Anne Krebiehl MW
