94pointsPierre Meurgey 2018 Corton-Charlemagne

Slight hints of wood smoke, toasted hazelnut and cream are all that appear on the nose of this wine. The palate delivers these aromatic notions bound up in vivid creaminess. Ripe Mirabelle and apricot appear around the edges to give even more aromatic allure, but the core of the wine is anchored in chalky depth. It's very subtle and balanced. Drink 2025–2035.
