Pronounced aromas of charred wood are imposing on the nose, but intense black fruit shines through on the palate, taming char into a more palatable blend of rich blackberry preserves, smoke and barnyard. The long finish ends with supple tannins and a touch of vanilla and mocha-kissed fruit.
