An excellent Merlot; certainly the best at this price point that I have tasted in the past 15 years. Good, solid black cherry fruit is accented with coffee ground flavors. None of the usual vegetal flavors that plague wines at this price, nor are the tannins anything but ripe and smooth. Best of all, there is real fruit concentration through the midpalate.
