Piocho 2017 Red (Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara)

Dried cranberry and strawberry aromas meet with charred wood and pencil shavings on the nose of this blend of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot. There is a strong structure to the palate, upholding the dark blackberry, charred fudge and black-olive flavors. Matt Kettmann
