Piper-Heidsieck NV Cuvée Jean-Paul Gaultier Brut (Champagne)

Sure, the packaging probably accounts for much of this wine's cost, but what's under the red leather is pretty good stuff. Slightly nutty scents add complexity to red fruit aromas. A creamy, gentle mousse carries moderately rich flavors of toast and ripe apples to a finish redolent of red berries. Joe Czerwinski
