Pittacum 2013 Petit Pittacum Mencía (Bierzo)

While this young Mencía starts out aggressive and jammy-smelling before displaying a rubbery, cheek-grabbing mouthfeel, flavors of foxy plum and raspberry are good and fruity. Plum, latex and medicinal notes work the finish on this fruit-forward wine. Michael Schachner
