86pointsPlantagenet 2006 Hazard Hill Rosé (Western Australia)

There's an herbaceous note to this wine's bouquet suggestive of bell pepper, but thankfully, it's not a dominant aroma--there's also plenty of cherry fruit. It's predominantly Merlot, with some Grenache blended in, and the result marries cherries with leafy, tobacco-like flavors. Joe Czerwinski
