Showing an earthy elegance, this has aromas of underbrush, violet, red berry, leather and tobacco. It's bright and firmly structured if a bit austere, offering Marasca cherry, cranberry, star anise and a gamy note set against assertive fine-grained tannins and zesty acidity. This needs time to unwind.
