This wine from the Castellani group begins with earthy, smoky aromas and some warmth. The palate unfolds as a grapey sort of fruit salad, but one without a lot of structure or tannins. The finish features a fair amount of coffee and oak. Overall it starts better than it ends, as it seems to be lacking something. —M.S. Michael Schachner
