Poggio San Polo 2004 Brunello di Montalcino

Initial traces of smoky sulfur need to blow off and once they do this Brunello freely exhibits tones of blackberry, prunes and smoked bacon. The wine is a tad gritty and astringent in the mouth, so give it five more years of aging to soften those tannins.
