Poliziano 2002 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

Smoky as a campfire, with heavy barrique-driven aromas along with lemon, bitter chocolate and cherry. Model intensity, the hallmark of Poliziano, is on display across the palate, where firm tannins clamp down like a vise. Not a great wine, but plenty dark and manly. Michael Schachner
