Ponzi 2017 Aurora Vineyard Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

Strawberry meets raspberry in this fruit-centered wine. Though aged 20 months in 50% new French oak, the barrel influence is muted while peppery herbs poke through. If there's a criticism it is that the wine stops short, despite ample aeration. Another year of bottle age is recommended before drinking. Paul Gregutt
