Porta 2007 Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon (Aconcagua Valley)

Shows very nice fruit that's both jammy and firm, and then add in meatiness, leather and rubber and you have an intense, tannic middleweight with cassis, dark berry and plenty of chocolate in terms of flavors. A bit fiery, biting and hard now; needs another year or two to soften. Michael Schachner
