This is an earthy, ripe number. The nose is deep and dense, with aromas of prune, raisin, pastry and vanilla. The mouthfeel is lifted by acidity but overall this feels dense and heavy, with strong but controlled tannins. Flavors of lemony resin, loamy black fruits, molasses and spice finish smooth, long and under control. Drink through 2020.
