Powers 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

Some interesting tobacco scents open up the nose. In the mouth the wine is very tart, showing cool-climate flavors of plum, cassis and berry. There is a hint of leather but not enough to dampen the fruit. This is varietal and solid in a basic, blocky style. Paul Gregutt
