Poyer & Sandri Acquavite di Mele Cotogne/ Quince Brandy

Clear. Nose is discreet and subtle, showing very little in the way of fruit or spirit at first; aeration stirs some evidence of fruit. First flavors of quince and guava are firm and assertive without being raw or flammable; midpalate displays a touch of fire, but the emphasis is squarely on the quince and tropical fruit flavors. Finishes politely yet solidly. Fruity without being ambrosial. Lovely. P.P.
