This medium-bodied Romanian Merlot is herbaceous and woody on the nose with notes of vanilla, toasted oak and black cherries. The fleshy red plum flavors compete awkwardly with a green, stalky profile and strong tannins, but finishes on a pleasant sour cherry note.
